The logo of the Alexandria brand is written in Asomtavruli (5th-9th centuries), a monumental script, representing the oldest form of the Georgian alphabet. Featuring the first letter of the brand – A, the logo shines light on the beauty of jewellery.
The Georgian language is one of the oldest continuously spoken languages on earth with a rich literary tradition.
Many scholars believe that the Georgian alphabet was created around the 6th-5th centuries BC.
The alphabet has been modernized over the centuries, but has retained its original roots. You may have heard the Jason and the Argonauts’ mythic quest for the Golden Fleece. Jason went from Greece to a kingdom near the Black Sea renowned for using sheepskins to collect gold grains and flakes from mountain streams.
The myth took inspiration from an actual voyage sometime between 3,300 and 3,500 years ago, scientists say.
